My name is Samantha Gurrey and I run LUSTRE Photography. I am the main photographer and I do all of the post production editing in house. I like to prioritize capturing natural, real and candid moments of the day.
I was born in Toronto and I moved to Scotland to complete a Masters Degree at the Glasgow School of Art. Prior to that, I completed a Bachelor of Fine Art from York University, Toronto. Since then I have relocated to London, Ontario.
LUSTRE welcomes couples from all religions and sexualities. 🌈
About Me
I would describe myself as being silly, wild at heart and a lover of animals, hip hop and an environmental activist. I have two young children and a Yorkshire husband.
I am friendly, creative and passionate about giving couples something unique to cherish forever. This isn't just a business to me. I'm an artist and I'm lucky enough to really enjoy the work that I do! I love being a part of such an important day and helping couples capture it all.
Photography Style
We LOVE to capture candids. These are the most fun for us! When shooting more staged photos we try not to over pose and make things happen more naturally. This approach is a lot more relaxed and captures the natural atmosphere of the day. It is also great for anyone who is a bit nervous in front of the camera.

Editing Style
Our photos are edited with muted tones and soft lighting for an even distribution of lights and darks. The photos often look a little bit 'vintage' with the warm sepia tones.
